Claudia Antony of AS YOU WISH EVENTS

Earlier this month, we caught up with Claudia Antony of AS YOU WISH EVENTS at the Palmer House Hilton. We enjoyed an afternoon of tea and finger sandwiches while viewing the latest wedding gowns from Macy’s Bridal Salon and accented with gorgeous furs from Macy’s Fur Vault.

tBS: Claudia, you’ve planned a million weddings. What is your absolute FAVORITE part of the day?
CA: Without a doubt, it’s when I ‘throw’ the bride down the aisle. It’s always an AHA moment for me. Just knowing that the next time I see her, she is going to be different – she is going to come back a married woman!

tBS: Any trends you are currently loving?
CA: I’m a big fan of bridesmaid dresses in different shades of the same color OR dresses that are the same color but in different styles. It looks beautiful and formal but everyone is comfortable – that’s so important!

tBS: What are you seeing in the way of going green?
CA: I have to share this – David Rothstein, a very talented band leader in Chicago, has started a program called Share Your Love, in which he collects the floral at the end of the evening and takes the arrangements to local nursing homes.

tBS: That’s AMAZING!!! What a great way to spread the joy! We will definitely have to chat with David and get some additional info up about him on theBrideScoop!

tBS: What’s the best part about your job?
CA: What I do, doesn’t feel like a job! At AS YOU WISH, we always say that as perfect as a bride wants her wedding day to be, we want it to be MORE perfect! There is nothing more important going on in my life that day, than making sure our bride has the most spectacular, magical day. The goal is for our brides to be able to let go and fully enjoy this once in a lifetime moment!
