Over the last few years in the UK, we have seen a huge trend in brides leaning away from the classic princess style tiara and opting for subtler side tiaras and combs. However, I predict that is all about to change! The tiara is set to make a big comeback with brides in 2012.
Side tiaras have proved so popular and easy to wear, they have almost become acceptable in everyday fashion. Brides want to stand out from the crowd and feel every bit the princess as they glide down the aisle. Thanks to this years’ Royal weddings, where we saw both Kate Middleton and Zara Phillips wearing the most amazing diamond tiaras, I think the tiara will be heading more and more back down the British aisles.
Sadly, we don’t all have the family heirlooms of the Royal family or the budget but you can be sure to find a whole array of sparkling crowns and tiaras in every shape size and colour to suit. When choosing a tiara, do be aware that not all tiaras will suit you. Much like hairstyles finding the right tiara does depend on your face shape. If it is too tall, you may find it makes your face longer or a peak may make your face appear rounder. So be sure to try them all on to find the best size and shape for you.
Our favourite tiara for 2012 is our all time best seller the Poetry Divine Tiara since it was featured on the cover of a well known UK wedding magazine a few years ago, it has stormed into Bespoken For greatness. Adorned with hundred of Swarovski crystals, luminous cultured freshwater pearls and twinkling diamante, it is a guaranteed winner. The beauty of this piece is it is not rigid. It can be moulded shaped and worn the way you like it, which our brides love.

We have noticed at our wedding fayres that brides are more interested in the full tiara this year than they have been last year. They are also going for the bling as well.
Glad I am not the only one who has noticed the change in trend
The tiara will always be appropriate for brides. And I’m not just saying that because I wore one for my wedding in 1999 and am saving it for my daughter. ;)
