CONGRATS! Daley Weds Hotchkiss in Chicago

The youngest daughter of former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, Elizabeth “Lally” Daley, wed her college sweetheart and long time boyfriend, Southern insurance professional Sam Hotchkiss, in Chicago at an intimate ceremony at Spiaggia – a long time favorite restaurant of President Obama – on Thursday, November 17, 2011, according to the Chicago Tribune.

She was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents while wearing the same gown her mother, Maggie Daley, wore when she got married in 1972. Originally scheduled as an engagement party in advance of a New Year’s Eve wedding ceremony, the family decided to make the event the wedding itself to ensure Mrs. Daley could fully participate in the festivities. The former first lady of Chicago has been battling cancer for years. And, as an added bonus, it doubled as a birthday party for Lally!
