We are looking forward to our St. Patrick’s day wedding and wanted to share some different ideas on how to incorporate this holiday in YOUR special day in a fun and elegant way!
There are many ways to incorporate green into you wedding day! We love the idea of adding a green accent such as a sash to your wedding gown. If you tend to be more traditional and don’t feel comfortable wearing a green accent on your gown, you can always surprise your guests with a pop of color ~ a green shoe! What shoe better to chose than the one with the red bottom!!! Right fashionists?!?!
Floral is an easy way to add more green to your wedding! Highlight white or cream with some lovely green foliage or flowers – maybe add a shamrock or two for good luck!
Celtic Handfasting is a great way to incorporate an Irish tradition into your ceremony. Celtic Handfasting is the tradition of tying a couple’s hands together during the wedding ceremony to signify the coming together as one. It is also where the term “tying the knot” comes from! This tradition is especially popular in Scotland and Ireland and was often the sign of an official marriage before the church became involved in wedding ceremonies. The couple’s hands are bound with thirteen different color ribbons, each representing a different virtue.
