Poor Kim K! Swollen feet are a bad side effect of being preggers. But let us tell you! We have seen our share of brides with similiar afflictions!!!
Close your eyes and imagine yourself in your dream wedding dress… got it? (Wait! This is written so go ahead and open back up your eyes.) Now, back to where we were. Some women who have that beautiful alabaster skin all creamy and Victorian want to show that off next to their gowns and that’s wonderful. But if your like me (German, Irish, Italian), my heritage is confused and its not sure if I’m olive or pink undertones. So, when I’m white, it’s far from pretty. Now, when I used to lay out in the sun (and still do on occasion because it feels so nice), I got a nice golden tan. But as I get older and smarter, I realize that sitting out in the sun not only dehydrates my skin – making my pores look larger – but it’s like taking all that time using good skin care and throwing it out the window! (See my previous articles to read about my skin care regimens.) The rest of the time I cheat and use self tanners.
Just imagine… it’s a beautiful day, you’re wearing a dress you have always dreamed about. The officiant says, “You may now kiss your bride.” Oh the magic! And you respond with one of these three options:
1) You give a knowing grin that tells your hubby: “Don’t kiss me too hard or it will be all over your face!”
2) You give a knowing glare that tells your hubby: “Don’t get too crazy or it will be all over my face!”
3) You prepare to be dipped and kissed like you’ve never been kissed before!
So it’s your big day and there are so many choices to make and under each of those choices there are… more choices! Since you come to us for beauty were going to help you with each of those. This week, it’s all about what is HOT right now… nails!
Over the years, we have heard hair stylists bemoan the fact that some brides and their ladies show up with newly washed hair (or even wet hair) to their styling appointment on their wedding day. Some hair stylists say both are a no-no.
Being on the same page visually with your makeup artist and hair stylist is sometimes a brides’ biggest hurdle… and naturally so. What one person thinks is a smoky eye could be completely natural for another. From a hair perspective, you might have your dream hair style but your hair won’t cooperate!
Well, its not that serious is it? But it really can change the look on your big day!

Regardless if you have oily or dry skin, this is the most important article of this series: everyone needs to exfoliate! And I hope you are doing it at least in some way. So keep reading no matter what stage of exfoliating you are in because we are going to clarify “the good, the bad and the ugly” of loving your skin.
