Accessories Angel: Flipping Out for J*Flops

There are two things you can never have too many of:  good friends and good shoes.  Unfortunately, good shoes sometimes charge your feet a painful price.  But what bride wants to be sitting on the sidelines icing their feet while everyone else is busting a move on the dance floor?  Thankfully, a Sacramento-based company, J*Flops, offers a chic way to squash your shoe sorrows.

These to-die-for kicks are a fabulous way to keep you and your bridal party dancing the night away.  Adorned with satin bows, rhinestones or flowers, there are plenty of designs to choose from!  I immediately fell in love with feminine Marjorie, but if you want to add your own touch simply send in a picture or fabric swatch and J*Flops will create a unique design for your special day.

Accessories Angel: Pretty in Pearls

As a girl whose mom truly is her best friend, I’ve always heeded her sage fashion advice.
So when my mom came home from a recent wedding raving about the unique pearl jewelry worn by the bridal party, I did some investigating.

Chunky pearl necklaces in eye-catching colors and designs are a dazzling new trend!   Designers like Kate Spade New York and Vera Wang have created stunning pieces perfect for any wedding.  I especially like this style because it’s a great compromise between classic and contemporary.  The timeless elegance of pearls combined with innovative shapes is sure to impress even the pickiest bride.

Moreover, these necklaces work perfectly if you’re looking for an eye-catching accessory to wear as a guest.  They make the transition from daytime wedding to nighttime reception effortless and are sure to get you a couple double-takes!

Accessories Angel: In Full Bloom

As spring showers gave way to summer sunshine, it seems that gorgeous flowers have begun to bloom everywhere you look.  With blossoms radiating colors from crimson to violet, it’s impossible not to take notice.  But you don’t have to be in the garden to see summer’s natural colors spreading their joy.

On a recent outing to Nordstrom’s, I saw some wonderful hair pieces reflecting the vibrant spirit of the season.

Whether you prefer headbands, clips or combs there’s a blossom for every bride’s hair.
My favorite look has to be the Cara Accessories Tropical Flower hair clip.  The bursts of color from the fuchsia, denim blue and lilac can add an element of fun to any up-do while the black and ivory options keep your tresses classically chic.

And the best part?  It’s totally re-wearable.  Even after your trip down the aisle, this look is recyclable for an evening BBQ or your next girl’s night out!
