MONEY MONDAY: Buy Inexpensive Bubbles

Let’s face it, our wallets know something that our tastebuds just simply can’t understand:
We are still in a recession!

Sadly, those Sunday morning mimosas made with the fancy champagne are not as realistic as they used to be.  Before you fall into the attractive looking price tag of a lesser bubbly, why don’t you  journey to Italy for a bottle of prosecco or even Spain for some cava at Binny’s?

There are many wallet friendly options such as Segura Vieudas (cava $7.99), Dibon (cava $9.99), Nino Franco (prosecco $13.99) and La Marca (prosecco $13.99) that will trick your palate into thinking you’ve won the lotto.  It’s not champagne, but for the money,
you and your nearest and dearest Sunday brunchers will not be able to tell the difference.

To make a good thing better, take you favorite sparkling wine and berries.  Fill up a popsicle mold and slide it in the freezer for four hours.  Next thing you know, you have “champagne” popscicles!

Thirsty?  Call for more recommendations at (312) 664-4394 and ask for Binny’s Beverage Buyer Jeff Caldcleugh.
