Bridey2014 ~ Time To Diet!

Hi Everyone,

I’m ashamed to say that this week, I have succumbed to the “fad diet.”  Never before in my life have I “dieted” but both of us felt it was time we did something productive to get in shape for the wedding.

FOOD FRIDAY: Thought for Today ~ Ymber Delecto

If organic farming is the natural way,
shouldn’t organic produce just be called “produce” and
make the pesticide-laden stuff take the burden of an adjective?

TIP TUESDAY: Power of Fermented Foods

This year, my husband wanted to take a different approach to savoring the produce of summer.  As winter is a tough time for local produce in the Midwest, we froze a few vegetables and fruit last winter.  However, with limited freezer space, we decided canning and fermenting was the way to go.

TIP TUESDAY: Get Off The Couch!

Brides ~ as a whole ~ are a pretty inspired bunch of work out people!  They have a deadline, they have a goal and they have an image in their head on how they should look on their wedding day.  After that, well… let’s say there is something like the freshman fifteen that kinda happens ~ if ya know what we mean!  The rest of us?  We could use a little more exercise.

FOOD FRIDAY: Thought for Today ~ Astrid Alauda

Did you ever stop to taste a carrot?
Not just eat it but taste it?
You can’t taste the beauty and energy of the earth in a Twinkie.

TIP TUESDAY: Yoga Poses for Runners & Cyclists

If you log quite a bit of time running or cycling, it is a good idea to make time for stretching.  The best complement to these activities is yoga.  Even if you cannot make it to a yoga class, there are a couple key postures you can do to open those tight muscles.  You can even do this while watching TV, which is probably a good way to get off the couch!  My two favorites are Pigeon and Crescent Moon Pose.

FOOD FRIDAY: The Healing Power of Flavor

I am a big believer in the healing power of foods.  Chicken soup may not be able to heal broken bones but it is certain to make you feel better when you are sick.  Tea with honey will soothe a sore throat.  Citrus fruit helps you stay healthy in cold season with vitamin C.  These are some of the remedies that we all know.  So, I would like to talk about some delicious healing foods that are not quite as obvious:  herbs and spices.

Sexpert: These Boots Were Made for Sexin’

A good pair of shoes can really turn up the heat and bring out those gams that turn heads to break necks.  So why should that be any different during sex?

Guys are all about the visuals during arousal and shoes can help accentuate the length of your legs while also making you appear taller, which just exudes smoking hot irresistible goddess.  His ding-a-ling goes ring-a-ring when he sees something he likes and there’s no man who doesn’t like a gal with stems.  As Rod Stewart once said, “Hot legs, making your mark.  Hot legs, you keep my pencil sharp.”  Couldn’t have been a more accurate poet.
