Hi Everyone!
This weekend, will be my first Mother’s Day where I can wish Mike’s mom a happy Mother’s Day as my mother in-law! :) It has been ten years in the making but it’s finally here and I couldn’t ask to be part of a better family!
Thank you to Ada Calhoun for her article: What It’s Really Like to Go From Bride to Wife. Repost from Brides.com.
The wedding bouquet’s been tossed. The band’s stopped playing. You’re home from the honeymoon. There’s a good chance that the last year or so of your life has been taken up with planning the big event. So now that it’s over, what comes next?
Hi Everyone!
After the big Cabo wedding and our trip to California so Mike could run the San Luis marathon, our lives have definitely slowed down and have become less exciting… in a good way! We are going to sit back and relax and try to enjoy every minute of this summer since last summer was so crazy with the wedding (not that I minded that at all)!
Hi Everyone!
I have to have a proud wife moment for one second! Last Sunday, Mike completed his seventh marathon in under four hours! We got to travel for it once again but this one was extra special because it was where my parents live. As many of you know, Mike just ran the Chicago marathon in October but he really wanted to participate in this one because it was San Luis Obispo’s ignaugural marathon. My dad’s hospital – French Medical Center – was a huge sponsor so it meant a lot to my dad too to have his son in-law run it!
For MARRIED MONDAY, we shared Lydia Netzer‘s article: 15 Ways to Stay Married for 15 Years! While we do not agree will every single point, number ten really struck as the TRUTH (yes, with a capital “T” and all caps after that!!!). What is it? Stop thinking temporarily about marriage. Most brides think that getting married is the finish line… no, ladies! It is just the beginning of the awesome journey of life together forever.

Today is my fifteenth wedding anniversary. I really love Dan, and I am proud of how awesome our marriage is. We certainly haven’t killed each other yet. Hell, we haven’t even maimed each other. We have not always been perfect, but we have made two cool kids, and we have always kept it interesting. For two people as weird and intense as Dan and I are, staying together this long is a big accomplishment. I know some people are surprised.
Hi Everyone!
I am back!!!! What an amazing time we had in Cabo! Not only was the wedding beautiful, the weather was perfect and we got to spend quality time with family and friends!
Thanks to our friend Vonnie Kennedy at EmpowHER for her article Weird Ways Guys Say I Love You. How does your guy say he loves you?!?!
Women can be high maintenance. We know it’s true. But, men can be complicated. That we know as well. Most of the time, we know our guy loves us, but sometimes we just need to hear him say it.
