The age old question: When to send out wedding invitations? The answer has definitely changed throughout the years! It used to be truly okay to send them six weeks before the wedding and give them three weeks to reply (which is still well ahead of the date you need to give the venue or catering company the final numbers).

Brides ~ are you getting ready to send out save the dates or your wedding invitations? Unless you are absolutely sure that your envelope will require the regular postage, it is best to bring an complete invitation to the post office for them to weigh. And the other thing is to pay attention to postal rates. Yup! Those increases happen before you know it and it totally sucks to have a one cent additional stamp to your beautifully created envelope and customized stamp. And the postal rates going up on January 27, 2013!
