CJ & Dr. Tim ~ Cupcakes & Our God Loves Everyone

Hey all!

114 days and counting….

The cupcake tasting is over and THEY ARE GOOD!!!  Special thanks to Bleeding Heart Bakery for making our experience wonderful!  The new store on Belmont isn’t even open yet but they had a little “mini-cafe” set up for us with our cupcakes and cake balls waiting for us to taste.  Each one was just as good as the other – the flavors are so full and present that you know exactly what you are eating the minute you bite into it!  We know our guests will love them and will be eyeing them all night to make sure there are leftovers to take home!

Royal Wedding: Editor’s Perspective

As Editor-in-Chief of theBrideScoop, I get to hand out assignments, create fun days of collaborative writing for our writers and read everything that is submitted!  So when we get to share a whole day of one topic with our readers, I think you see us at our best.  I always have an opinion and sometimes I disagree with an article but I weigh that with what I think needs to be said about weddings and brides and whatnot.  But here are MY opinions – loves and dislikes - about the Royal Wedding… one year and one day later!

CJ & Dr. Tim ~ NOLA & Cupcakes!!!

Hey all!

128 days and counting….

Sorry for the LONG break in not keeping everyone updated on our lives!  We have been doing a bit of traveling and writing on a road trip is not as easy as we thought!  We took some time off to get away and meet up with our friends in New Orleans – needless to say, it was a BLAST!  We spent the days walking around the city and seeing the old buildings and cemeteries (which are both amazing and totally creepy at the same time) and we spent our nights… well, we spent our nights drinking.  Let’s face it, no matter the reason you say you are going to New Orleans, Bourbon Street is somewhere in the cards… and since our hotel was on the corner of Bourbon Street… there was no doubt that we would be partaking in a little libation!

CJ & Dr. Tim ~ Cleanse Update & Floral Done

Hey all!

163 days and counting….

What a GREAT week!  First of all, a special thanks to some of the readers (and our friend Tatiana especially!) for sending some great ideas for recipes for the cleanse!  We are very excited to try them out and get this cleanse OVER with!  Two weeks from today we will be DONE!  We decided that it is not the cutting out of alcohol for a month of our lives (which we thought would be awful) but it’s the boredom that comes along with doing this.  No going to fun places to eat, no meeting up with friends for a drink after work… it’s just a very mundane routine that nine days in has not gotten any easier.  Much like every other routine, we are 100% sure that the day before we are done, it will feel like normal day!

History Lesson: Jordan Almonds for Good Luck

Thank you to Jordan Almonds for their article:  Tradition and History of Jordan Almonds.

Fresh almonds have a bittersweet taste, which represents life.  The sugarcoating is added with the hope that the newlyweds’ life will be more sweet than bitter.

CJ & Dr. Tim ~ Obnoxious Cupcake Vendor

Hey all!

182 days and counting…

Well, today’s topic is pretty interesting… considering that we have been talking about it for the past week;  it made us open our eyes to the power of personality.

Cupcake DRAMA!!!!! (Photo from www.foodnetwork.com)

Here us out on this – we are not extravagant people… well, one of us is (HA! HA! HA!)… but we buy nice things for our home, we go nice places to eat and we never have to turn down something because we “don’t have the money to do it”.  That is not said to sound pretentious.  It is said to show that while we can afford nice things, we don’t necessarily have to break the bank in order to do what we like.  We feel that money in the bank is better than a BMW in the driveway.
