WED LIVE! Trust Your Wedding Professionals

Thanks to our friend Officiant Larry James at Celebrate Intimate Weddings for his article Trust Your Wedding Professionals.  We so agree!

In solving crimes, police officers rely on what they call a hunch or a “gut feeling”.  It’s defined as instinctive feeling, intuition;  also called gut reaction.  When working with wedding vendors… trust your gut feeling.

WED LIVE! New Trend ~ Single Bridezillas

Thank you to our friends at ABC News for this absolutely crazy article on ‘Single Bridezillas’: First Comes Wedding Planning, Then Comes the Groom!

The wedding fairytale for women is supposed to play out with the romance, the proposal and the dress fitting, followed by the walk down the aisle to say “I do.”

But today, some women are doing things a little differently.

These “single bridezillas,” as they have been coined, are happy to finalize their wedding plans well before the marriage proposal.  They are the girls not afraid to put the dress before the diamond or the reception before the ring.

WED LIVE: Best Wedding of 2011

On December 22, 2011, theBrideScoop asked our readers what was the Top Celebrity Wedding of 2011.

One of the more funny comments was that we did not include Kim K and her second ex-husband on the list.  Really?!?!  We did that on purpose – we never thought it was going to last but even we were surprised at the brevity of a 72 day “marriage”.

Click through to see who else was on the list and who you voted for top celebrity wedding of 2011!

WED LIVE! Wedding Offenses

Thank you to Emily V. Gordon for her article:  The Most Popular Offenses in Wedding Planning and How to Deal With Them.  Repost from HuffPost Weddings.

Your wedding day is supposed to be your big day, and yet a lot of engaged couples find that instead of creating an event that will be important to them, they’re dodging through a minefield of modern etiquette traps.  It’s hard to know how to handle a life event with so many expectations, so as a therapist, rather than an etiquette expert, let me present you with some of the most common reasons that your wedding will offend those around you, and what to do about it.

WED LIVE! Are you happy?

I am happy.  I am fulfilled.  I love my life.  I live in the moment.  Every day is not perfect but, on the whole, life is good and I am a “glass-is-almost-full-and-going-to-run-over” person.

WED LIVE! It’s Time!

We LOVE this video!

From the Editor: 1 + 1 (should) = 3:  “I do not know what your politics are but mine say that EVERYONE should have the right to feel this way and to solidify their relationship by getting married (and I do not believe civil unions go far enough!).”

Thanks for Get Up! for creating and sharing this video with our readers!

WED LIVE! Am I invited to the civil union?

Hey all!

We have all been in the boat where we have wondered when a friend gets engaged if we would be invited to a wedding.  Sometimes it is no surprise that we haven’t been (since we weren’t THAT close to the bride or groom) and sometimes it comes as a total shock when we haven’t been invited.  However, never have we ever gone up to the bride or groom and asked why we weren’t invited.  The times that we haven’t been invited, they are usually the ones who have reached out to us – it hasn’t happened often (twice to be exact) but the reason is understandable and has always been due to the numbers.
