Something so easy, so perfect, so natural should come so beautifully. Ummmm…. nope! That first kiss can be riddled with insecurity!
Some couples are private. Some people are dramatic. Some even have a flair for craziness! But for all the things that every couple practices for their wedding, the first kiss is usually not one of them.
So what happens?
Oh my! It can be completely inappropriate. Or it can be so pious! For most couples, we are not on stage for probably the most intimate encounter… the first kiss. So yes! Practice it. Talk about it. Do it more than once.
It should be long enough to seem romantic (and for your photographer to get a picture). There can be tongue but it has to be discreet. A peck on the lips is just as awkward! It can’t be too long or everyone cringes. You and your beloved have to figure out how much, how long, how intimate, etc before kissing in front of your 100 (or 200 or 300) family and friends!
In theory, the kiss on your wedding day should be perfect. In reality, many a first kiss are either inappropriate or weirdly sterile.
