We have weddings with HUGE bridal parties and we have couples who ask, “Is it okay for us just to have a maid (or matron) of honor and a best man?” Of course, either are okay but there are benefits to having a smaller bridal party!
Celebrity wedding planner Shawn Rabideau said, “The days of large wedding parties are no more, and professionally, I couldn’t agree more. Choreographing the processional is sometimes like timing out the Rose Bowl Parade with eight to ten attendants, but now brides don’t want the hassle of listening to their friends complain about the dress and shoes they have to purchase!”
We could not agree more! Sometimes smaller is more intimate and more special.
BTW ~ It is actually less costly for you, the bride too! You do not have to procure bouquets for them or pick out bridesmaids gift for the whole gaggle of ladies! Oh… and the groomsmen on the other side of the aisle!
