Most wedding dinners are sit down affairs featuring steak, chicken or fish options. Many parents of grooms feel they need to “compete” (in a sense) with the wedding dinner so they look for an expensive steak restaurant and then, OOPS!, the menu starts to look similar for both evenings. If given a choice, most people attending a rehearsal dinner want to do fun and casual and relaxing. But mostly fun!
So how about looking at your region of the country and see what is fun about the cuisine in your neck of the woods!
Think New England clam bake. Or Tex-Mex in Southern California. Pizza in Chicago. Perhaps a wine tasting in Oregon. Or Texas BBQ.
Fancy is not always fabulous and we like it when there is interaction between the two families so family style or buffet is perfect for getting people to mix it up!
