Cynics Corner: Hope Overrated

There’s a lot of mention of the word, “hope” when people talk of love. This is foolish. There is nothing rational about love and having any kind of hope for something irrational so often leaves you disappointed and eventually brokenhearted.

Yeah, hope is worse for the heart than cheeseburgers and cigarettes.
