I was going to comment on the controversy surrounding the K-E diet, featured in the New York Times last week, but there already has been a conversation. If you do not know what I am referring to, this is a diet used by brides as a quick way to meet their wedding weight loss goal. While it is fairly new in the United States, it has been popular for many years in Italy and Europe. Essentially, for the price tag of approximately $1,500, a nasogastric tube (a tube is inserted through the nose, down the esophagus, and into the stomach) is used to provide nourishment (with no carbohydrates) for ten days.
Rather than focus on the absolute insanity of this diet, I am going to reiterate what I have discussed in several of my previous articles here on theBrideScoop. There is never a short cut when it comes to getting in shape. Having a healthy lifestyle is something you work on every single day of your life. It takes hard work, because if it were easy, we would all be doing it, right? Your body is a temple. Take care of it and it will repay you in kind.
Be proactive, not reactive, when it comes to your health. If you fall off, just get back on. We all make mistakes but, if we just give up or not make a concerted effort, we are doing a disservice to ourselves.

K-E diet isn’t new?! Wow. That is even scarier.
