Brides ~ as a whole ~ are a pretty inspired bunch of work out people! They have a deadline, they have a goal and they have an image in their head on how they should look on their wedding day. After that, well… let’s say there is something like the freshman fifteen that kinda happens ~ if ya know what we mean! The rest of us? We could use a little more exercise.
Editor’s parents are 70 and 67 and more fit and healthy today than ever before. Dad retired at 58 and actively took up golf ~ he plays 3-4 times a week and walks when the course allows it! On the other days, he walks an hour or so with Mom. Both like a cocktail or two in the evening but they are pretty healthy eaters.
What really makes them so fit? Staying active. It is as simple as that! Every day, they do some type of physical activity ~ sometimes together, sometimes with other people and sometimes by themselves. When you hear experts talking about going for a walk every day, it really does work (in conjunction with healthy eating and minimizing alcohol).
So chalk up a win for First Lady Michelle Obama and Beyonce with their “Let’s Move” campaign.
