Happy Couple & NATO Protesters

There is always spin on every story and every photograph!  So Beth and Tim were getting married this weekend and their awesome photography team at Jai Girard Photography set up this AMAZING photo specifically to include the NATO protestors!

As you can see there are a hundred other cameras pointed at the happy couple.  What did the Daily Mail write as the headline?

Stop Occupying my wedding!
Furious bride was caught up in anti-NATO protests
as Chicago locks down for conference

HAHAHA!  Jai specifically said beforehand, “Hoping to get some protesters in our wedding shots today.”  And boy, did they!!!  One photo – by a media photographer – of the bride, not posed and with her mouth open, makes her look a little angry and the worldwide media spun it that the happy couple was ambushed by the NATO protestors.

Ummmm… nope!  Jai and her team took photos of Beth and Tim before their ceremony at the gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Chicago where they also hosted their reception.  Completely on the other side of downtown and no where near the protests!

Jai followed up with this comment, “for all the stupid news reports: i’m sorry but the protesters didnt interrupt our bride…WE interrupted the protesters!”  And “but when i see the news reports saying that our wedding photos were interrupted …are you all morons????  you think we went to lasalle st on that day to get ‘pretty pictures, maybe in front of a gazebo with tulips’ kind of picture…??!!”

To the point, the happy couple wanted to be edgy and document what was happening in Chicago on the same weekend.  Love the photo, Jai!!!
