Hi Everyone!
I am beyond excited to be writing this article and sharing my wedding journey with you all. And I love that my first article is on Halloween! Surely, the best place for me to start with this article is at the beginning of our love story…
Mr J proposed to me in early spring this year. It came as a complete surprise – he’d been convincing me that we had all the time in the world and not to rush anything. Little did I know that three months prior, during Christmas 2011, he had taken my dad to one side and asked for his permission – this meant the absolute world to me!
We were away on holiday: me, Mr J and our fur baby (our dog!). It was magical when he proposed. We laughed. We cried. And I said – yes!!! He presented me with a Haribo jelly ring (I am obsessed with sweets!) and said we could go shopping together for my real ring as soon as we were back home! I felt like the luckiest girl in the world, who also had the chance to pick her own engagement ring – how many girls get to do that?! I spent the rest of the holiday in complete shock and discussing the type of engagement ring and wedding we would both like! You could say, I’ve been on cloud nine since that day and haven’t come back down.
theBrideScoop has come into my life at the perfect time! After eight months of being engaged and only having booked the venue, we are finally beginning to make our wedding dreams a reality!
I’ll finish this weeks’ article by sending our love and thoughts to all those affected by Hurricane Sandy – may you all be safe and well.
Best wishes,
Bridey2014
