CJ & Dr. Tim ~ NOLA & Cupcakes!!!

Hey all!

128 days and counting….

Sorry for the LONG break in not keeping everyone updated on our lives! We have been doing a bit of traveling and writing on a road trip is not as easy as we thought! We took some time off to get away and meet up with our friends in New Orleans – needless to say, it was a BLAST! We spent the days walking around the city and seeing the old buildings and cemeteries (which are both amazing and totally creepy at the same time) and we spent our nights… well, we spent our nights drinking. Let’s face it, no matter the reason you say you are going to New Orleans, Bourbon Street is somewhere in the cards… and since our hotel was on the corner of Bourbon Street… there was no doubt that we would be partaking in a little libation!

The weather was a little gloomy the first day, but after that EVERY day was perfect! Low 90’s and sunny… not too sweltering and barely any humidity which is very uncommon there (we got lucky!). Our friends left early and we got to spend a couple of days just the two us. We went to a wonderful dinner at a restaurant called Iris – super quaint with great food and a great wine list!

On the wedding front, we have a meeting next week with the lovely Claudia to taste some cake at Bleeding Heart Bakery which has now conveniently relocated itself just a block away from us! SCORE!!! We are looking forward to tasting some delicious desserts and then go over some planning items with Claudia – we are only a little over four months away from the big day! WOW! We said in the beginning that this was going to go by quickly and while it still seems a while away time sure has flown! YIKES! It will be here before we know it!

We are excited to be sharing more and more with you all as the day gets closer and closer!
