So in a day and age where there are websites, blogs, smart phones and more, you would think that inserts would be a thing of the past in invitations but no.
We actually do more inserts than we ever have and couples are giving more information to their guests. The best thing is to give the loved ones you have invited an itinerary, detailed information on the hotels and even the rate (because you know that Uncle Joe thinks he can get a better rate than you did on Priceline, so let him know how great your deal is).
GPS systems are fabulous but if you are having your wedding in downtown Chicago, your GPS may not do you any good. Those highrises turn it into a recalculating fool.
Many couples are doing wedding weekends and inviting all guests to all events so giving times, places, phone numbers, attire and more information is extremely helpful and really kind to your guests.
So plan away but make sure you pass along plans in details. It also means less phone calls, texts and emails with questions for you during the most hectic time of your life – the week BEFORE your wedding!
