Rehearsal dinners have been a tradition for many years that have come and gone and come again. They are sometimes a formal sitdown dinner with just the wedding party and others are a bar night with pizza and beer for all of the out of town guests.
The invitation to this event is your chance to do something different. Tradition says that the groom’s parents pay for this event and therefore are probably paying for the invitations to this event. Of course, this isn’t always the case.
We always have fun doing rehearsal dinner invites when the couple wants to do something fun like a night at Carnivale, where we got to use the bright strips of the Carnivale logo and fabulous red envelopes, or a night at Gino’s East where we used the bride and groom’s name in the shape of the Gino’s East logo. We have done everything from a simple postcard to a box with a fork and hankercheif in it for a backyard BBQ.
It’s your place to be playful and fun, so go out there and plan a unique and fun rehearsal dinner and then get a great invite to show it off.
