CJ & Dr. Tim ~ Fabulous Wedding Shower at Quartino!

Hey all!

71 days and counting….

Last week was great!  We had an amazing weekend and then on Sunday was our wedding shower!  We couldn’t believe that it was already here!  CJ’s Mother did the most amazing job of planning this – there was not one thing out of place, it was perfect!

The shower was held at Quartino’s in their seond floor private room, it had a very Tuscan old world charm to it and they played old black and white Italian films (La Dolce Vida to be exact) and there was vintage futbol jerseys on the walls.  The food was amazing, all Tuscan inspired meats and cheeses with bruschetta, calamari, gnocchi, mostaccioli and the most amazing cupcakes brought in from Heavenly Cupcakes for dessert.  The wine was flowing and the conversations were LOUD!

It was so great to have everyone in a room together (some of which we hadn’t seen in a couple of years) and to see them all mingling with each other.  The servers at the restaurant could not have made CJ’s Mom or the two of us feel more important!  They were treating every guest like they were their personal waiter.  No one had an empty glass or an empty plate in front of them, great customer service is so rare to find these days and they completely exceeded all of our expectations!

When we got home with all of our wonderful presents (99% from Crate & Barrel), CJ’s Mom called to tell us how happy she was with the way it all went down.  She also congratulated us for how much our friends can drink!!   She said when the bar bill was handed to her, she just started laughing.  While we know it is tacky to list an amount, let’s just say in a matter of three hours, over 32 bottles of wine were consumed….. OOOOOPS!  She got the biggest kick out of it – she said that the caterers for the wedding better be ready with bottles and funnels if this is any indication of how that night is going to go!  HA!

This Saturday is wedding invitation day!  Time to get the envelopes stuffed and stamped so we can mail them out next Friday.  This is real and it’s happening!
