TIP TUESDAY: When To Start on Wedding Invitations

Engaged?  Check.  Wedding gown ordered?  Check.  Church booked?  Check.  Reception location selected?  Check.  When do you need to start working on your wedding inviations?

TIP TUESDAY: When To Start on Wedding Invitations

Wedding Invitations (Photo by Carasco Photography)

Wedding invitations should be sent 6-8 weeks before the wedding day.  Therefore, working backwards, plan 3-4 months for printing, 2 weeks for addressing and a few additional days “just in case!”

With this timeline, you’ll want to start picking your invitations about 7 months before your wedding day.

Extra TIP TUESDAY:  Always order extra!  Better to have a couple that you don’t need then to go through the expense, time and craziness of trying to get an additional two invitations.  The extras are great for scrapbooking or some other creative project after your wedding!
